ART AND MUSIC PHILOSOPHY
I was raised in an artistically rich home environment growing up, taking music lessons since I was 6 years old. Music has been a huge part of my life and one of my passions, which is why I pursed a music major at St. Thomas University during my Bachelor of Arts degree. Exposing and involving students in art and music class in addition to integrating it into the everyday class is important to encourage student creativity and it also makes learning much more fun!
See below my philosophy for creating an artistically rich classroom environment.

This is a photo from a presentation on integrating art into math from our Art class at St. Thomas university. This station was creating 3D objects with play dough (vertices) and toothpicks (edges). The next step would be cutting of coloured paper the faces for the 3D object and placing them on the 3D objects.
Explaining the difference between vertices, faces, and faces is far easier and more fun this way!
