PHYSICAL EDUCATION
It is important for children to I have the opportunity to receive regular fresh air and exercise. Being active helps students focus better when learning in class in addition to positively contributing to their health and well-being. From my own experience, I know that keeping fit and getting natural vitamin D from the sun helps me manage stress, sleep better, and stay focused on work and/or school. I intend to incorporate movement in my classroom activities and encourage students to get active during recess and lunch breaks. See below reflections and lesson plans that I created or adapted for my Elementary Physical Education Class at St. Thomas University.
The first document is the Games Modification Assignment. The second document is a lesson Alisha McCorriston and I collaborated together to plan and teach to our peers in the Elementary Physical Education Class at St. Thomas University. |
